World of Warcraft Fast Leveling Guide Advice
Powerleveling in World of Warcraft has become a very hot topic, flooding the forums, and leaving many questions unanswered. Unfortunately, many players do not know what to do when it comes to fast leveling, and often just end up doing what their friends/guild members do. Unless your friends are super-stealth World of Warcraft powerlevelers, you end up wasting a lot of time clicking around and not doing much with all those hours logged in front of the computer. I’ve prepared this fast leveling guide to help inrease the speed in which you level, as well as hopefully introduce some better habits amongst your guild members.
Mods to Help with Power Leveling
First of all, to become faster at leveling, you need to be prepared. The first step is to install some add-ons, the first add-on you want is one that allows you to track all of your questing info, and another to map area vendors and quest givers. Both Team iDemise and Joana’s Guide come with these mods included in their power leveling package.
Efficient Gameplay
While this concept is a bit difficult to explain without specifics, to level quickly, you want to maximize yoru time in each area that you are in, and limit the amount of time you spend travelling from area to area. For example, many areas will include a few quests that you can complete at a time. The best approach is to work in circuits, completing all the quests in a given area, moving to the next closest area and then completing those quests, systematically moving through the game.Team iDemise has put together a great guide on how to complete quests in order.
Questing vs. Grinding
While you can level very quickly through grinding, questing is often more enjoyable, and can help you level faster. Quests give you not only more experience, but more gold than grinding alone. To learn more about fast leveling through questing, Dave Farrell has some awesome advice in this area.
Music
This is more for the game player than the actual game. I’ve found that listening to music while playing (especially leveling) can make gameplay more enjoyable. Alternatively, if your guild has a teamspeak server, you can chat with them while you level.
The Mule
The Mule is a low level character that can help you when it comes to the auction house. It is their job to auction items you have collected along your quests. This will help by giving you extra gold along your journey, as well as freeing up bag space.
Working your Talents
Once you reach level 10, you are given a talent point. By gaining talent points you get to improve your character in certain aspects. When it comes to talents, you want to first reduce your downtime, improve your pets’ survivability and damage (if you are a Warlock or Hunter), and then improve your main spells damage. This site has a lot more when it comes to powerleveling through your talents.
Finally, if you really want to level really fast, you should consider looking into a fast leveling guide, such as those from Team iDemise, Nyhm, or Dugi. They are all excellent and can increase your leveling speed by more than 400%.
