How to Build Your Reputation the Fastest in the Northrend
Building up your reputation in the Outland was one of the biggest grinds, and since the release of the Northrend, many players began to see the same basic returns in the new content. However, this time around, the repuation structure has been streamlined, and it has been made easier to develop your reputation while getting through the new content, and not spending weeks or months at it before you can get the rewards you need to effectively start raiding.
Tabards
Tabards are the first addition to the game that has made it a lot easier to enjoy new top level content without the need to grind away in the same dungeon for hours on end. With tabards, you can purchase all the major neutral factions and then wear them into any of the game’s dungeons to build a reputation with that faction. You can purchase tabards from Quartermasters in reputation homes and in Dalaran. Heroic dungeons can reward anything from 1000 and 2000 reputation points for completion of the dungeons.
Questing and Instances
The Northrend allows you to not only run instances with the tabards, but also quest much faster with each faction than you ever could before. Some quests will reward you with more reputation for doing entire groups of factions. Additionally, there is much more linked to your main horde and alliance factions, since there is no major faction split in this round. In the case of Frenzyheart and Oracle, you can also switch between factions much more easily. Progressive instancing has also become quite popular to gain reputation at the higher levels once you get to places like Icecrown Glacier.
Spread Out Dailies
Starting at level 71, the daily quests available throughout the Northrend have become much more numerous, and will continue into your quest log throughout level 80. All of them you can use to boose reputation, which will let you get a higher reputation at levels lower than you were able to in the past. This is awesome for players more interested in rewards than power leveling.
No matter how you choose to play the game, it is much easier to gain reputation than it ever was before. For those that are able to capitilize on the new system, the game will become much more user friendly, especially for those looking to gain that mammoth a little bit cheaper, or to add to their new enchants.
